Our History

2007

Founded at Tema Fishing Harbour

Founder Pauline Diogo-Djondo and Sergey Smoglienko, a representative of Makemba, decided to cut out brokers and put their trust in each other to give Ghanaians a direct source of fresh frozen fish. Ocean Fare Company Limited was incorporated on 5 January 2007 and began trading on 18 January 2007, starting with 800 metric tons of storage capacity on AFKO Road.

Today

One of Ghana's top 3 frozen fish importers

Through years of observing the market, building strong strategies, and forming mutually beneficial relationships with customers, suppliers and partners, Ocean Fare has grown its storage capacity to 12,000 metric tons — and continues adapting to provide the best quality, most affordable fish products in Ghana.
